In terms of your powers Emily's toolset is just as good non-lethally as it is lethally, she can distract people with Mesmerize to sneak around them, use Domino to link people together so knocking out one person knocks out several, use Dopplegangers as distractions and in synergy with Domino, Far Reach is both a cool mobility tool and you can snatch people from crowds and knock them out straight up Batman-style. And speaking of, you can find "chloroform bottles" in the environment that when thrown at an enemy will render them unconscious. Secondly, carrying over from the first game's dlc you get Stun Mines, which can be upgraded to to have three charges and chain over multiple enemies, and you can be pretty darn creative with these from simple stuff like sticking them on unconscious bodies other enemies will investigate, or sticking them to bottles you can throw to make them effectively ranged. Your mileage may vary, but to say this game is not a true stealth game. Flashy red mist is not nearly as satisfying as it used to be - at least, to me. Then you get a tank and just trample over anything that is left. Knife, knife some more, the odd harpoon kill. Enough games where I can murder people in all sorts of ways. I find the added challenge of quiet, non-lethal stealth quite attractive. You *can* murder your way through the game, but you don't have to. Just watch youtubers like StealthGamerBR, Volund, Clockner & Rabbit's Respawn and you'll begin to see the potential this game has. It urked me too when I first started because I love the feeling of staying undetected and leaving no trace, but I soon realized that this game really treats stealth as a sub-paramount feature compared to the arsenal of supernatural abilities at your disposal. I don't think that the non-lethal options are any more creative than they have been in the past, although they seem to be a bit more grim than I remember, in ways that made me think the target would probably be better off dead. ![]() There is one mission in the middle of the game that gives you a handful of options to take when deciding how/if you're going to take out your target(s). They do add things I enjoy such as combat knockout moves, such as the slide takedown and the takedown-from-above.
